MOXI uses fractionated non-ablative laser energy to create micro-coagulation zones in the skin. This stimulates the skin's natural repair process, triggering collagen production and cellular renewal without the downtime associated with ablative lasers.
MOXI is designed to be a comfortable treatment. Cooling air is delivered during the procedure, and a numbing cream may be applied beforehand for sensitive patients. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild warming or prickling feeling.
The day after treatment, your skin may appear slightly red. Days 3–5 bring the 'MENDs' (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) phase — tiny dark specks that slough off to reveal refreshed, renewed skin beneath. Most patients love their results by the end of the first week.
Apply a moisturizing physical sunscreen and stay out of direct sun. Keep the skin hydrated and avoid harsh actives for 3–5 days. Makeup can be applied after 24 hours. Staying out of the sun is the most important step.
For corrective results, a series of 3–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended. After that, maintenance treatments 1–2 times per year keep skin looking its best year-round.
